Awww . . . This was so sweet and sad. I know for a fact you never really get over your first love. No matter what comes after them in your life!
Stefan did a truly noble thing by letting Brooke go so she could live the life she had dreamed of even if it wasn't with him! </3
I'm glad she let him know she was indeed happy. That at least lets him know his sadness/loss was not for nothing.
Hopefully he can now let himself love again!
